Hello

I was wondering if anyone could translate the death records for Michal and Jozefa (Jakubiak) Klonowski. They are my ancestors. Any help would be appreciated.

Best Regards

Michal Klonowski, Act 6
Krzykosy
This took place in the village of Łętów, 12 Feb 1863 at 10 am. Mikołaj Klonowski, digger from the village of Piączyn, 40 yrs old, and Franciszek Żukowski, farm worker from the village of Krzykosy, 28 yrs old, arrived and stated that on the 10th of the current month and year at 6 pm, in the village Krzykosy died Michał Klosowski, married, farm worker 70 yrs old, resident of the village of Krzykosy, the son of deceased parents from Jusiowy, current status and place of birth unknown to the above witnesses; the deceased left behind his widowed wife Józefa nee Jakóbowna Klonowska. (...) The first witness is the son, the second the son-in-law of the deceased. As the witnesses are illiterate, the the act is signed by Jan Trojanowski, the priest of Łętów parish responsible for maintaining the Civil Records.

Scott, the second act you requested is incomplete, it begins on the previous page.

'kopczarz' means not a digger but a tenant who for leased ground had to pay rental in part od his crops.
