Szanowni Państwo!
Although I will here express myself in English (in order to develop my points more clearly), I invite you to contribute to the general discussion on this topic in Polish.
I would like to draw your attention to a free, effective and far more discrete alternative to submitting one's family tree to MH.com for the purpose of comparing genealogical data and finding other relatives.
I have observed a high degree of dissatisfaction with the way MH earns money on collecting and sharing people's own personal and genealogical data. Others have even told me (although I have no proof of it myself) that they found data on MH which had originally been gathered from internet fora like Genealodzy's own by MH staff without their consent.
As an alternative, genealogists in the Nordic countries have long used more discrete database systems for comparing and complimenting eachothers' data; databases that are endorsed by the respective national associations for genealogists.
- GEDCOMP is a free service which sends out an e-mail detailing the matching information between user-submitted Gedcom files. The service has existed for nearly 20 years and is very precise. What is more, your data is not put on the internet as part of a disputed business model. It is run voluntarily by a single Danish IT specialist by the name of Lars Kristian Lundin:

Another model is the more open, common and searchable database, such as:
- DISBYT in Sweden:

- The Norwegian equivalent, DISTreff:

I suggest that either Polish genealogists begin to join GEDCOMP or that the Polskie Towarzystwo Genealogiczne develops its own equivalent to DISByt after consultation with their Nordic sister organisations. (In case suggestion A is put in motion, GEDCOMP might have to take in more staff though in the longer run.)
