I was so grateful for the help to find information about my grandfather's family so I thought I would reach out and see if anyone can help me find out about my grandmother's family. This is what I know so far.
Jadwiga Niewiarowska was born in Torun in 1920. She had an older sister named Janina, born in 1912 and a younger sister named Teresa, born in 1925. Their parents were Jan Niewiarowski, born in 1880 and Stanislawa Filipczyk, born in 1888. I have not had any luck finding anything in the archives but Jadwiga's baptismal document shows that her place of birth was Torun in the place Podgorze. The baptismal record that I found was actually issued by the Polish priest in the displaced persons centre and the top of it shows that it is a copy of the document issued by the Roman Catholic Parochial Office in Podgorze, on Oct 26, 1920.
Is anyone able to help me find records for any of these family members? I found Jan Niewiarowski's birth record and he was born in the parish Trakai in Lithuania and Janina's birth record which states that she was baptized in parish Vilnius of
St. John. The state archived in Lithuania have the records for both of them. Thank you in advance for your assistance. |
