| My Great-Grandfather was Viktor Dorschke/Drozdzok (1889-1969). His 'heimat' was (Brzezie) Hohenbirken, Landkreis Ratibor, Upper Silesia. He married Marie Kokott on Nov 10 1914 in the Catholic parish of Markowitz, Upper Silesia. His name is also spelled Drosdzok in the records. |

My ggr.father Viktor Drozdzok (later Dorschke) is listed in a newspaper account (at Gedbas) as missing (Vermisst) from his unit on 1919-04-02. His unit is mentioned as Infanterie-Regiment 395 and the Liste as Preussen 1403. I know he lived until 1969. Can anyone elaborate further on any of these military details or add more? Perhaps there are Silesian records that document the call-up?
