Hello all!
I'm in search of some family members I'm having trouble tracking down.
It starts with my grandfather, Andrzej (Andrew) Joseph Zoledziewski who originated to Poland when he was 17 in 1949 with his siblings, Weronika (Veronica Irene) and Piotr, and his parents, Franciszek (Frank) and Walentyna Zoledziewski.
The furthest I have found is Walentyna's father is possibly named Jan Sojecki. As found on her death certificate. There is no mother listed. And I can not find a death certificate for Franciszek.
I have been on countless sites and places only to be lead to dead ends. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also, I beleive I found (possible) a great grant uncle but have not confirmed a connection between him, Aleksander Zoledziewski, and Franciszek. As Zoledziewski wasn't ubiquitous but still a fairly common last name. I have searched IRO's, immigration reports, DP's, lists of names in Holocaust, Staten Islands records, and various Polish cites and churches such as this one.
Is it possible war's have erased any record past this? Am I not searching for the right thing? If there's any helps, hints, feedback, I am open.
