I am searching for relatives with the surname Szeszol. I have looked at the Mormon microfilms and found that my family came from Zarowka. I have contacted a few people and haven't found any direct relatives in Poland. If anyone has information about the Szeszols please contact me. I have 2 branches of the tree... descendants of Kazimierz Szeszol and Maria Czapiga (living about 1840)... and descendants of Ignacy Szeszol and Agnieszka Popera (living about 1800). I am a descendant of Ignacy Szeszol and Agnieszka Popera.
I have been told from one source that the Szeszol name is common in Zarowka. And I have also been told that it is a rare surname worldwide. I know that there are about 50 in the United States, and I have contacted most of them. However, most of them are not related to me so far! |

Thanks for the advice, but I have already contacted a few Szeszol families in Poland. All of which have so far been descendants of Kazimierz Szeszol. They have kindly helped me by filling in the gaps of who is who in their family from my list of questionable names. Since I am a descendant of Ignacy Szeszol I have pressed on with my search. I've been scouring the Polish phone book online for all the Szeszols in the surrounding villages and so far have come up with a dozen names. I hope to write up a letter to send out to those addresses. My main question is... do the two or three lines I have traced so far connect at some point? If I can't find that out through records and family histories, then maybe there's a chance through DNA technology, if parties are willing. However, I'm sure that eventually I may sort this out the old fashioned way. |
