I managed to get a group Lubelski Korzenie from facebook to scan old books from Losiniec, Tomaszow Lubelski. the book containing births had a few dates and documents of my ancestors/relatives that were missing, but there is nothing new in order to continue the line of my eldest paternal ancestor Jan Staszyna (married to Agata Mikol/Mikot) who died in 1817 (birth date is approx. 1734 but this is probably based on his age). I wonder if any births, marriages and death records of people could be in this book:

I saw dates like 1767 which is way further than the birth records that I found till now so I think there must be also something here. It was told that this was a UMZ book from what I remember. From what I understand is that books UMZ are registry books of lands, debts etc?

I don't know if this book will be translated by the group from Lubgens.eu since it doesn't look polish and I don't expect other to be able to read it.

Hi,
UMZ stands for Births/Marriages/Deaths (Urodzenia/Małżeństwa/Zgony)

I believe there is a Church Slavonic language and in places Polish.
There is an alphabet in the Polish version.

There was a couple: Roman Staszyna and his wife Maria, e.g., circa 1732 - there is a baptismal certificate for their daughter Maria, entry six on the left card:

It is written: daughter of ~"Романа Сташины и жены его Марии".

And here is the couple, 2 times:

Entry 8 on the left card and entry 2 on the right card.
I was under the impression that the cards/scans/entries were not in sequence.

Wow, I did not expect this person and especially not a date going back so far in time, thank you very much. Did it also contain a connection to Jan Staszyna, Agata Mikot/Mikol or the mentioning of a different place?
